This program will help participants learn how to change their lifestyle to prevent Type 2 diabetes. Participants will learn to make changes in eating habits, increase physical activity and reduce stress in one’s daily life. Groups meets for 16 weekly sessions with monthly follow up sessions with trained Lifestyle Coaches. To qualify, participants must have an elevated glucose or A1C, be over 25 BMI, had gestational diabetes or a family member with diabetes.
Participants may begin during the first 5 weeks of the program (1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10). After February 10, 2021, the class is closed to new participants.
